For some reason, these PDX1 shells have been difficult to find and if you do they're wildly overpriced. Not only did OpticsPlanet have them in stock, but there are plenty of 'em and the price is quite reasonable. Not recommended for inside drywalled space due to penetration.Excellent product from Winchester. Excellent price and availability from OpticsPlanet. You can't do better than that!

They load and cycle through without incident. They hit where you aim them. I like them and recommend them. I only wish I could get them in 3”.

Have been running these rounds in my house defense Remington 870 for years. Pattern is perfect at 10-20 yards. Will inflict catastrophic damage if used. Slug followed by 3 – 00 buck shot? I mean c'mon, its a no brainer what it'll do. Recoil is very manageable.

Tight pattern at 15-20 feet. I have a Kel-tec KS7 (a short bullpup) that kicks like a mule. The low 1150fps tames that down and tames that down for quick follow up shots.

I ordered a variety of 12 gauge self defense loads from Optics Planet for my Shockwave. The lower recoil loads like these Winchester Defender shells are definitely preferable in the Shockwave. The plated pellets are a must to avoid deformation when packed behind the slug. Whether the combination of slug and pellets is better than a standard slug or buck load is debatable. At close range the pellets don’t deviate much from the slug thanks to the buffering but after impact there’s no telling how they’ll behave. Damage for sure. If you can get these try them and decide for yourself. I was glad to find them on OP.
